Also, I wasn't interested in this game until I saw the video where it shows that it comes with a halo 3 type vid capture and edit tool built in.

Man the idea of playing an other one makes me want to vomit.  Especially a treyarch COD game.

Well, in all honesty, the main reason we all play it, is because we all play it.

We all played RDR for a while, playing COD is sort of like playing basketball or golf, it's a competitive game played with friends, you have fun whether you win or lose, and if we all found a game we could play with friends that was as fun, I'm sure we'd play that.

Come on over nama, it really is a lot of fun.

However, I do share your trepidation with Treyarch... have they actually made a fun MP game yet?

Nah, I cant do it.  When I play COD I get pissed and want to abuse my controllers.  I dont play games to get angry, I play to have fun.  Thus no more COD for me.  At least MP.  I would still play the SP and Coop and will probably rent Spec Ops for those aspects of the game.

My MP game of choice has been and still is Bad Company 2.  Its closer to Ghost Recon than COD and thats why I prefer it. The pacing of the game and the design of the game space is more to my liking. 

Also Waffle finally got it and Helvetica has had it for awhile now.  We usually play late friday nights in case anyone else picks it up. Chrad joins us from time to time too.

 If you come from COD, It will seem chaotic. The game has a spotting feature that forces you to stop running around aimlessly hoping to shoot some body in the back. Once you understand that and learn to spot and get free assist points it becomes a different animal. You can play it like ghost recon or you can play it like halo, its all about the class you pick and the mode your playing. It has a way deeper online experience than almost every shooter I've played, including MAG. COD is such a twitch shooter I'm really surprised to see XNC playing it so much. If you tried BC2 and didnt like it, fair enough. However I would suggest renting it and not basing any opinions on a mp trial, those would give you very different experiences.

Well, I have played it, I've played every Battlefield since BF1942 on the PC, and I love me some objective gametypes! I'll get it again from Gamefly and see if it feels any different than it did before. And for what it's worth, COD slows down a LOT when you have limited respawns

yeah, nama badgered me so much about BC2 I finally picked it up after channeling my feelings of BF1943, which I loved. Still, I wasn't sure if I wanted another modern war game. Why wouldn't I just play COD? and I wouldn't. I did get super sucked into MW2, but the twitch factor would get to me after a while. Something about BC2 makes it seem more epic. and the games seem to mean more. Communication is a big factor in that too, i suppose. Sometimes I forget it's not cod and run out and just get killed really quick, so i've gotta remind myself to slow it down some, but i'm getting better about it. The spotting option is great and helps everyone out on your team, not just your squad, giving you a much greater chance at success. And since the matches are usually pretty long, winning is a nice payoff. 

highly recommended. give it the chance of a rental, like Helvetica said, get in a room with us, and see what you think.

seems like friday nights is turning into our traditional gaming night.  We usually get on around 10 or 11 Eastern since Helvetica lives out on the west coast.  For the last 3 fridays I havent been logging off until around 3 or 4 am, so we definitely crack out.

Let us know if you rent this lolth.  It would be great to get an other person to squad up with.  Hell maybe we can get enough interested to try some private matchs sometime.

One more thing: destructable environments!! How could I forget? It's so gratifying to take someone out by blowing up the wall that's giving them cover, or the window they're sniping from. Kaboom. anyway, just thought of that. carry on.
